[edit] New Features

  • Import and Include:
The two words we use to label this feature essentially convey the functionality. We’ve added the ability to take advantage of “Production” code in other solutions through a couple different ways. “Import” is the ability to copy code from Production and use it in a different solution. “Include” is the ability to create a dependency on something that is in your production workspace. We’re very excited about the potential for this feature. It opens up an intrinsic capability in Bungee that’s been kind of under the covers for a while and adds a lot of value for Bungee Developers. And of course, it’s a precursor for additional enhancements along this same vein. There’s one restriction right now; in order to do an import or include you have to be a member of the design group and if you want to import or include code from a different design group, you have to be a SuperAdmin for the design group from which you want to import/include. Find out more, of course, in the docs:
  • New Class and New Form Wizard:
We’ve made some changes to how forms and classes are added. You’ll see a new dialog for each of those tasks now
  • New Form: When adding a Form, you’re now required to associate a form interface for that Form. In the wizard dialog you can either use an existing form interface or create a new one. If you’ve been in bungee for any amount of time, you understand that forms are most useful in Bungee if they have an interface associated with them. Many of our beta developers have expressed that we streamline the form interface process. Not to mention help people understand interfaces better. This is a step in that direction.
  • New Class: When adding a class to a project you’ll also see a new dialog that lets you name the class as well as set its inheritance. Just leaving the defaults will behave the way adding a class did in the past. Go ahead and check out the documentation:

[edit] Bug Fixes

The focus of this and the next couple releases is going to be on bug resolution. We’ve been able to make a lot of progress against those issues and here are some of the more visible fixes that we’ve rolled out:

  • Several crashing bugs were addressed in this release. This is an ongoing effort and we greatly appreciate the help we’ve received from our early beta users in identifying and debugging these important issues. Thanks
  • getSubCollection working properly for Collections
  • You can use the arrow keys in the Notes field for a Class
  • Statement Complete control highlights appropriate selection correctly
  • You can now hide the headers of a Multi Column List
  • Image control now works with SSL URLs
