Concept : Understanding the Design Editor
Contents |
[edit] Description
The Design Editor is where you edit forms and Bungee Logic. The content of the Design Editor automatically changes according to what you select in the Solution Explorer and Solution Detail (by double-clicking). When you double-click a class or function, the object opens in the Design Editor so you can use Bungee Logic to create functionality. When you double-click a form, the form opens so you can create a user interface. For each item you open in the Design Editor, a tab is created at the top. You can quickly change what is displayed by selecting the appropriate tab. To close one or more tabs, right-click on the tab and select the appropriate option. To scroll the tabs, use the arrow buttons at the right-top of the Design Editor. You can also close tabs by clicking the close icon next to the scroll arrows.
[edit] Managing Design Tabs
Each time you open a new view in the Design Editor (whether a form, or a Bungee Logic element), the view displays as a new tab in the Design Eidtor. On the right of the Design Editor, there is a control to enable you to manage your open tabs. The control allows you to close a tab, arrow through tabs (left and right), as well as providing a drop-down list of all open tabs so you can access a tab more quickly. You can also access a menu for closing tabs by right-clicking any open tab.
[edit] Home Tab
The Home tab on the Design Editor provides you quick access to:
- Recent Solutions—A list of your most recently opened solutions (click a solution in the list to open the solution).
- Open Solution—A tree with all of your DesignGroups and the solutions in your DesignGroups (click a solution in the tree to open the solution).
- Open Example Code—A list of example code that you can import into a new or existing solution.
- BCDN Updates—RSS feeds with Bungee Connect items of interest.
