<h7 name="Password_Caching_by_the_Host_Environment">Password Caching by the Host Environment</h7>

When you set your preferences for GroupWise Task Viewer, your GroupWise credentials (username and password) get stored by whatever the host environment in which you access GroupWise Task Viewer. For example, in iGoogle, your name and password settings are stored in your iGoogle user config settings.

If you do not trust the host provider (such as Google, in the case of iGoogle), then do not store your GroupWise credentials in the application.

<h7 name="From_Host_Environment_to_GroupWise_Task_Viewer">From Host Environment to GroupWise Task Viewer</h7>

Host environments such as iGoogle access GroupWise Task Viewer as an SSL-encrypted web page using a https URL. The URL includes your name and password as query arguments. As arguments in a URL sent via HTTPS, your credentials are not sent until your browser completes the SSL handshake (see "what does ssl encrypt?" on this link).
